Meet the Gariful Team: Stijepo

The heart of Restaurant Gariful is of course the kitchen, where the chefs perform wonders with a variety of sea-food, and they are kept company by the live lobsters in the tanks.

Controlling all is head chef Stijepo Gurabic, who has been part of the Gariful family for 8 years.

Born in Tuzla in 1961, Stijepo is married and lives on Hvar full time. He previously worked for Suncani Hvar Hotels and Hotel Croatia, as well as in Germany.

For a man passionate about preparing sea food, it is perhaps not surprising that Stijepo’s favourite hobby is… fishing.
