If a Restaurant is Judged by Its Wine List, Last Night at Gariful…

One of the things that defines a top quality restaurant is the strength of its wine list. While many wines may appear on the list, when a guest orders one, sometimes they are mysteriously unavailable…

Not so at Gariful, where our team has worked hard to put together the most comprehensive wine and Champagne list on Hvar – and keep it stocked.

Take last night for example, where a table of diners wanted to explore the very best wines on offer at the restaurant, moving from Bordeaux to Burgundy to Bordeaux once more.

Out came the fabled clarets – Chateau Margaux, Chateau Mouton Rothschild and the fantastic 1982 Chateau Cheval Blanc St Emilion Premier Cru Classe (ah, who remembers the fabulous wines of ’82…), accompanied by an equally strong offering from Burgundy, from Beaune and Nuits St. Georges.

If you are looking for the finest selection of premier wines – both Croatian and international – on the Adriatic, coupled with Hvar’s premier dining experience, we look forward to welcoming you soon at Gariful.
